Function
Scope

Work as technical architect on various investment and implementation projects in the Financial Services sector around Sopra Banking’s flagship product: Sopra Banking Platform

Understand business & non-functional requirements from internal & external customers, including at C-level, to translate them into detailed technical scopes

Facilitate communication and understanding between business & technical teams around technical & non-functional topics

Understand the Sopra Banking Platform architecture including its legacy and trade-offs

Explain to customers and system integrators the added value of Sopra Banking Platform architecture

Interact with customers including at C-Level to understand their business and non-functional requirements and translate them into detailed technical scopes

Review technical solution outline & detailed design to ensure all customer requirements are taken into account

Coach functional development teams on architecture aspects

Conceive software architecture for new Sopra Banking products and recommend improvements to the existing architecture

Participate in the feasibility evaluation of customer requirements, e.g. by means of PoCs and prototypes

At least a Bachelors’ degree

5 years + of experience in software architecture

Good knowledge of Java, JEE, SOA, software component architecture, Aix/Linux, Oracle

Some knowledge of ESB, Enterprise Portal, CICS, JMS, DB2, z/OS and technical infrastructure is an advantage

Experience in Financial Services is an advantage
